WFAS would like to congratulate Molly Malone!
This week's "Athlete of the Week" has been awarded to Molly Malone of Ossining High School. Molly is a two-sport athlete, participating in lacrosse and field hockey. The Ossining senior has had a spectacular lacrosse season, highlighted by her 200th goal in a 15-13 victory against Rye. She also broke the Ossining Girls Lacrosse Career scoring record held by her sister, Kate, who held the record at 289 points. Molly now holds the record at 294 points scored over her 5 year Varsity career. She is an 2-time All-Section lacrosse player and a 3-time All-State field hockey player.
The success she has on the field translates off the field as well. Molly, who endures rigorous AP and college level coursework, is in the top 2.24% of her class and she scored a 2140 out of 2400 on her SAT. In her school community, Molly serves on the National Honor Society, Italian Honor Society, Student Council, and School Newspaper. Outside of school, she is very active in the St. Augustine's Church Youth group, where she has participated in preparing and delivering thanksgiving baskets to local families in need and midnight runs. She has decided to attend the University of Georgetown this fall. We wish you the best, Molly Malone
